“Innovation and Efficiency” Symposium Slated for October 27-29

The Converting Systems Group of Davis-Standard, LLC will host a three-day converting symposium entitled “Innovation and Efficiency” in Syracuse, New York, on October 27-29, 2008. The symposium will focus on helping management personnel maximize their equipment technology to improve performance, product quality and profitability. Topics to be discussed during multiple sessions include innovations in stretch and cast film, high-speed extrusion coating, controls and auto die technology. There will also be a lab demonstration and tour of Davis-Standard’s facility in Fulton, New York.

Of special interest is a tutorial given by R. Duane Smith, Product Manager of Specialty Winding. Smith will lead a dynamic session packed with practical information and rules of thumb to assist in overcoming challenges related to web handling, web spreading, slitting, winding, and eliminating roll and web defects.

Those interested in attending should contact Christine Maxam at (315) 598-7121 or by e-mail at maxamc@bc-egan.com.
